What is a digital therapeutic?
Digital therapeutics (DTx) deliver evidence-based, clinically evaluated software interventions that treat, manage, or prevent a medical condition. They are held to the same standards of evidence and regulatory oversight as traditional medicine. That clinical bar is what separates a true DTx from an ordinary wellness or fitness app.

A rapidly growing category of medicine
Prescription-grade software that delivers a medical intervention directly to a patient. Used to treat, manage, or prevent a condition, not just track activity.
Held to the highest clinical standards
Validated in randomized trials, published in peer-reviewed journals, and regulated like traditional treatments, not an unregulated wellness app.
Integrated into your clinical pathway
Used on its own or alongside Rx medication and therapy, expanding the clinician's toolkit and giving clinicians actionable real-world insight.
Digital clinical decision support, today.
In our current state, we support a variety of digital clinical decision-support tools: digitized assessments (PHQ-9, GAD-7, EPDS), CBT- and DBT artifacts, as well as patient-reported emotional and activity observations, reported between sessions.
An certified digital therapeutic, tomorrow.
Better Place is not yet an FDA-approved digital therapeutic, but we are actively pursuing the clinical trials that would let us certify as a digital therapeutic — building the evidence base the category demands, using third-party validation.
