4. AI and Automated Processing

Certain features of the Services use automated systems and artificial intelligence technologies to analyze patterns in user-provided information or application interactions.

These technologies may be used to:

  • identify changes in sentiment or emotional state
  • suggest wellness activities or behavioral interventions
  • surface insights for clinicians reviewing patient progress

These systems are designed to assist users and clinicians but do not replace professional medical judgment.

5. Relationship Between Clinicians and Patients

Better Place Wellness provides technology tools that may be used by clinicians to support patient care.

Clinicians remain responsible for their own clinical decisions and communications with patients.

Patients remain responsible for any action they choose to take, or not to take, while engaging with the Services.

Better Place Wellness does not provide medical treatment or therapy services directly.

Information shared by patients through the platform may be accessible to their participating clinician but is not monitored in real time by Better Place Wellness staff.

6. Crisis and Emergency Situations

The Services may provide prompts or resources if user activity suggests potential emotional distress.

However:

  • the platform is not monitored continuously
  • it is not a crisis response service
  • clinicians are not expected to monitor the platform continuously

Users experiencing a mental health crisis should contact emergency services or appropriate crisis resources such as 988 in the United States.

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information in limited circumstances including:

  • with clinicians authorized by the patient
  • to comply with legal obligations or law enforcement requests
  • to protect the security and integrity of the Services

All service providers are contractually obligated to maintain appropriate confidentiality and security protections.

These safeguards may include:

  • encrypted data transmission
  • secure cloud infrastructure
  • access controls and authentication protections
  • logging and monitoring of system activity

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we continuously work to protect the confidentiality and integrity of information processed through the platform.
